Packing and shipping copper range hoods, or any hood for that matter, is a critical aspect to the production process. Please make sure you ask how your product will be packaged. Most terms and conditions agreements will transfer ownership of the product to you at the manufacturers' shipping dock. Therefore, when it is on the truck and in the transit system, it belongs to you. If it gets damaged, you might have to be the one to try to file a claim.

Ask for pictures of the packaging - if they ship hoods often, the packaging will look well built and efficient. Be sure the shipment is insured and do not sign for it if it is damaged. If you do need to sign for it, make sure to note any noticeable damage on the bill of lading.
